What's New: February 2016
Vizlly’s first responsive website theme is here, giving users the choice of responsive and/or optimized websites to execute specific content marketing strategies and publish their unique story to shoppers on different devices. Responsive websites allow users to create one website that will look great on all devices and screen sizes. This makes it easy for travel shoppers to navigate across the many different devices they’re using to research and book travel.
Meet Munro: Vizlly’s First Responsive Website Theme
Munro is Vizlly’s first Edge to Edge responsive website theme. Websites using the Munro theme will display the same content on all devices – desktop, smartphone and tablet – organized to make full use of the screen size and device capabilities. Munro showcases large, high resolution media in the Edge to Edge homepage carousel and allows for easy navigation of website pages across all devices. It features a highly visible Booking Widget on every page to increase performance and drive shoppers into the Booking Engine. It also allows users to publish engaging videos and virtual tours on the homepage carousel on desktop devices.
For smartphones and tablets, the theme supports gestures so mobile shoppers can easily engage with your stories. ‘Click to Call’ and ‘Click to Map’ on smartphones make it easy for shoppers to contact and find the property.
Other options include: customized colors and fonts, page header backgrounds and display options to match unique brand elements; and the ability to integrate Google Analytics to track shoppers on multiple devices.
Good to know: Vizlly's Smartphone and Tablet Optimized Websites, if live on the same URL as the Website using Munro, will take priority and display on those devices for those who wish to target content and/or use optimized themes. To use Munro for all devices, change the Go Live domain for the Smartphone and Tablet Optimized Websites or delete the Smartphone and Tablet Optimized Websites.
Internet Explorer Support Updates
Microsoft recently announced that Internet Explorer 9 and 10 will no longer receive technical support and security updates. Vizlly has also removed support for Internet Explorer 9 and 10. Vizlly’s websites, web widgets, Facebook Apps and Digital Brochures will continue to display in Internet Explorer 9 and 10; however, new features that require modern browsers may not. Please update to Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge to enjoy all features.
