Room Type functionality makes it easy to define your room codes with associated images in VScape, and send that content on to travel channels and brand.com in a consistent and automated way.
With the addition of Room Type functionality in VScape, room codes and their associated images and descriptions can be inputted into VScape once, and then distributed to VNetwork channels that are setup to ingest this content. Additionally, a subscription for VScape Room Type Galleries means room type content can also be displayed in Multi Media Galleries on brand.com.
In VScape, a Room Type includes:
- A room code
- A room code description
- Associated room images
You can import content into VScape via a Room Type IMS (Inbound Media Sync). This function would have to be discussed with your Account Manager or you can manually input into VScape through the Room Type module in the VScape interface.
Choose the Room Type accordion in the middle panel. Then “add” at the bottom of the third panel. Enter in your room code and a great description to give the reader a better idea what this room is all about.
Once you enter in all your codes, tag the images you want to match to this code. Choose and image, click on ‘Edit’, then ‘Room Types’, search for the code or codes you want on this image. Once you are done, click ‘Update’.
In the media panel, if you click on the red star, this will indicate which of your images have room codes associated to them. This makes for you to identify which images still need codes.
When adding your Room Types in VScape, keep these best practices in mind:
- Add at least 4 images per room type, including 1 bathroom image
- Make sure that you are providing consistent room codes across channels
