Setting room types and mapping media to those room types is essential to optimal display on third-party channels. This is how travel channels display photos alongside the correct room type. Setting up your room types increases conversion speed and revenue.

Room types can be created at the brand-level or at the property-level. Regardless of how you create a room type or code, you cannot have duplicate room codes in Content Manager within a brand, so don’t worry about duplicating your work.

To create a brand-new room type at the brand-level:

  1. Click your brand name in the left panel at the top, identified with a star
  2. Select “Room Types” in the first row on the main panel, above “Tree Description”
  3. Click the blue “Add Room” button
  4. Enter the Room Code and Room Description

To create a brand-new room type at the property-level and associate media to it:

  1. Select the relevant property name from the left panel
  2. Click “Room Types” from the top menu
  3. Click the blue “Add Room” button
  4. Enter the Room Code and Room Description – if the room type has already been created in Content Manager, it will auto-populate in the Room Code field
  5. Press “Add Media” to start selecting media
  6. Select photos and search for photos by caption.
  7. Once photos have been selected, hit “Show only selected media” to verify your selection
  8. Press “Done” to save

To add media to an existing room type:

  1. Hover over a photo in the media gallery
  2. Click “...”to pull up more options and select “Edit Room types”
  3. Toggle “Show Only Selected Rooms” to see if the photo has been added to any room types
  4. Check off relevant room codes to add that media to multiple rooms
